OLD SCHOOL MLM IS MAKING A COME BACK

You know by now that I usually speak about internet network

marketing. The idea doing things old school mlm is not even

appealing to me or most people.

But there are some trends that seam like we have come full

circle in network marketing.

Now, now don't go jumping off a bridge just yet!

Don't get me wrong... the 3 foot rule, passing out flyers, and

putting signs up at your street corner are definitely not very

professional way to grow your business and I don't know if they

will ever be in style in the new world of internet network

marketing.



But, the idea of growing a big downline fast without ever

having to talk to anyone is now giving way to calling prospects

up on the phone again. Did you feel a cold shiver go down your

spine? You might be saying to yourself -

"Call people up? That's why I do internet network

marketing... so I don't have to talk to anyone!"

Well even the likes of Daegan Smith - "The King of Never

Having to Call a Single Lead" is these days softening his idea on never

having to speak to a lead until they are already in your

business. He has Joe LoBalsamo train people that join his

system on how to approach sign ups over the phone.

If you have not passed out from over ventilating, I have to say

this kind of calling is a lot easier than you might have been

used to.

The idea behind making the calls seems to be that nobody

wants to do business with a faceless internet company

anymore. There is a shift to a friendlier, more personal

way to do business on the internet these days.

People just want to know who they are doing

business with these days.

Listen, network marketing has always been people business.

Sooner or later you would have to speak with somebody if you

were going to succeed. So it is a real plus in your part to

find someone that will teach you the ins and outs of

conversation if you need help in that area.

However, the idea of calling your list of prospects after they

have sign up for your newsletter is different than calling on

generic leads or genealogy list leads. If you have done your

marketing correctly, these people opted in to your newsletter to get

information of some type. They are looking for someone to help

them.

Calling these people is going to be so much different than you

might have been used to. You are calling as a consultant.

You are the expert now, and they want to talk to you.

With your new role comes new scripts. You will no longer

be trying to sell them, you will be trying to help them!

In this role of teacher they will get to know you as someone

they can turn to for help. This is a completely different role

than we are used to playing, but it is a rewarding one in many

ways. Many of these people are going to be looking for a leader

to help them out, because they have not received proper training

where they are at. Many of them when they see you as a leader

will want to follow what you are doing and join your business.

You will be giving away information in your newsletter so you

will not have to train anyone individually. The idea of the

call is for them to get to know that there is a real person that

is sending those emails out. That there is someone that wants

to help them out. So when you call them, you will only be

saying hi and asking questions that will make them feel more

comfortable with you. There are complete trainings on this kind

of approach. I would recommend you search one out and get

trained.

I personally like what both Joe LoBalsamo and Dani Johnson

train on. Google their names and I'm sure you will find their

programs. What ever you do... you don't want to come across like

a greasy salesman. All they need to know from you is that you

are there for them; the rest of the conversation should be you

asking questions about their lives and finding what their wants

and needs are.

This kind of conversation will make them feel closer to you

faster than anything that you can say about yourself.
